The first platform-neutral certification for technicians who service commercially deployed humanoid robots. Delivered by CHRT Exam Proctor in 140+ countries.
The Certified Humanoid Robot Technician (CHRT™) is the industry's first credential program designed specifically for technicians who service commercially deployed humanoid robots. Created by RobotCare, LLC and delivered through CHRT Exam Proctor in 140+ countries, CHRT™ establishes a consistent, verifiable standard for the rapidly growing humanoid robot service workforce.
Unlike manufacturer-specific training programs, CHRT™ is platform-neutral - technicians are trained and tested across all 15 major OEM humanoid platforms. RobotCare, LLC is a member of A3 - the Association for Advancing Automation, publisher of ANSI/A3 R15.06-2025 - and a member of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.
All three paths require passing the CHRT Exam Proctor proctored exam. Only Path 3 leads to Service-Ready designation.
For candidates with a degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
For candidates with vocational training in electronics, HVAC, automotive technology, or a related skilled trade.
The only path to Service-Ready designation. Includes all 12 modules plus the live Module 12 Field Evaluation.
Graduates of the 215 institutions listed below are recognized as meeting CHRT™ Path 1 (Degree Holder) or Path 2 (Trade School Graduate) eligibility, subject to transcript verification at exam registration. Listing here does not constitute a partnership, endorsement, or sponsorship between RobotCare, LLC and the named institution.
This list is not exhaustive. Any graduate of an accredited robotics, mechatronics, electromechanical, or industrial automation program may submit a transcript at exam registration for individual eligibility review. Trade schools, community colleges, and universities not yet listed can request review at ken@robotcare.app.
The United States Path 1 and Path 2 ecosystem includes ARM Institute (Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing) endorsed programs at community colleges and career and technical centers, four-year robotics and engineering programs at research universities, the Universal Technical Institute (UTI) campus network, the Lincoln Tech network, and the FANUC CERT partner school system. ARM Institute endorsement is recognized by RobotCare as meeting CHRT™ eligibility criteria without further transcript review at launch.
Canadian Path 1 eligibility is met by graduates of Engineers Canada accredited engineering programs and recognized robotics or mechatronics curricula. Path 2 eligibility is met by graduates of provincial technology institutes and college-level mechatronics, robotics, or industrial automation diploma programs.
Mexico Path 1 eligibility is met by graduates of CACEI accredited engineering programs at private and public universities, with Tec de Monterrey, UNAM, and IPN representing the highest recognition pathways. Path 2 eligibility is met by graduates of CONALEP, TecNM, and CETI technical institute networks, which collectively operate hundreds of campuses across the country.
Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia represent the strongest Path 1 ecosystems in the region, anchored by USP, UBA, Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, and Universidad de los Andes. SENAI in Brazil and INACAP across Chile are the largest Path 2 technical training networks in the region.
European Path 1 eligibility is met by graduates of EUR-ACE, ABET, or nationally accredited robotics, mechatronics, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering programs. The institutions listed below span 16 countries across the EU, EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Several countries (Germany, Italy, Norway) host humanoid robot OEMs already in the CHRT™ curriculum.
Asia and the Pacific represent the densest concentration of humanoid robot manufacturing globally. Tesla Optimus Gen 3 (China supply chain), Unitree G1 (China), AgiBot A2 (China), Fourier GR-2 (China), UBTECH Walker S2 (China), and LG CLOiD (South Korea) all originate from this region. The institutions below offer Path 1 eligibility, with English-taught tracks noted where available.
CHRT™ is the only credential that trains and tests across every major commercially deployed humanoid robot platform. Platform-neutral - no OEM affiliation.
