Version History
v1.0 · April 21, 2026: Initial publication. Self-evaluation against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Issued in parallel with matching Accessibility Statements on robotcare.app and robothealthpassport.app as part of the RobotCare three-site accessibility program.
Our Commitment
RobotCare, LLC believes professional credential verification should be available to every employer, fleet operator, insurer, regulator, and technician, regardless of physical, sensory, or cognitive ability. chrttechnician.com is a public credential registry that serves as critical infrastructure for humanoid robot deployment, and we are committed to designing, building, and maintaining it so that it can be used independently by people who rely on assistive technologies.
Conformance Target
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the internationally recognized benchmark for web accessibility and is the conformance level referenced by the U.S. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III technical guidance and the European Accessibility Act (EAA, Directive 2019/882), which took effect for covered services on 28 June 2025.
Current statusAs of the date of this Statement, chrttechnician.com is in partial conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partial conformance means most of the content meets the accessibility standard, but some parts of the content do not yet fully conform. Known limitations are listed below and are being actively remediated.
Scope of this Statement
This Accessibility Statement covers chrttechnician.com only. RobotCare, LLC also operates two companion sites, each with its own site-specific Accessibility Statement: robotcare.app (corporate site and CHRT™ certification pathway) and robothealthpassport.app (standalone product site for Robot Health Passport™ verification, record entry, and HR IV™ reports). Third-party services referenced from this site, including the GTranslate language widget and external credential authorities such as the CHRT Exam Proctor, are governed by their own accessibility policies.
Measures We Have Taken
The following accessibility measures are currently implemented on chrttechnician.com:
- Semantic HTML structure. Pages use proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3), landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer), and lists for groups of related items, so screen readers can navigate content efficiently.
- Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements, including the mobile menu toggle, language switcher, and credential directory table rows, are reachable and operable using the keyboard alone. Focus order follows the visual reading order.
- Color contrast. Text and interactive elements are designed to meet or exceed the WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and non-text UI components, using the site palette of navy (#1B3664), gold (#C8870A), and white backgrounds.
- Alternative text for images. The RobotCare logo, A3 Member seal, and IEEE Robotics and Automation Society badge include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked so assistive technology can skip them.
- Scalable type and responsive layout. The site uses relative font units with
clamp()-based sizing and responds to browser zoom up to at least 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Machine translation support. The GTranslate dropdown in the site header offers 18 languages for convenience. The English version remains the official and legally binding version of all content.
- Plain-language professional content. Credential records, search filters, and registry language are written in clear, concrete terms. Technical standards references (ANSI/A3 R15.06-2025, ISO 13482, EU MR 2023/1230) are always cited with a brief plain-language description of what the standard covers.
Compatibility
chrttechnician.com is designed to be compatible with recent versions of the following browsers and assistive technologies:
- Browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari (desktop and iOS), and Samsung Internet, all current or prior major release.
- Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), and TalkBack (Android).
- Operating systems: Windows 10 and 11, macOS 12 and later, iOS 16 and later, Android 12 and later.
The site is not designed to be used with browsers more than four major versions old, and some features may not function in those environments.
Technical Specifications
chrttechnician.com accessibility relies on the following technologies working in combination with the user's web browser and any assistive technology or plugins installed on their device:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript (progressive enhancement; core credential verification functions work without JavaScript)
- WAI-ARIA attributes where native HTML semantics are insufficient
Known Limitations and Alternatives
Despite our best efforts, some content on chrttechnician.com does not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We are transparent about these limitations and are working to resolve them:
Verified digital badge SVG graphicsThe visual credential badges rendered for each CHRT™ holder use inline SVG with decorative styling that has not yet been fully audited for screen-reader announcement. Users of assistive technology can access the same credential information in plain text via the directory table row and the verified profile page for each technician. We expect to complete full SVG accessibility remediation by Q3 2026.
Third-party GTranslate widgetThe language dropdown is provided by GTranslate, a third-party service. Its accessibility conformance is governed by GTranslate's own policies. If the widget presents a barrier, the English version of the site remains fully accessible and is the official authoritative version.
Legacy PDFsSome downloadable documents (standards excerpts, historical credential lookup PDFs) were produced before our current accessibility workflow and may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need an accessible alternative format for any document, contact us using the details below and we will provide one within 5 business days.
Assessment Approach
RobotCare, LLC has assessed the accessibility of chrttechnician.com using the following approaches:
- Self-evaluation. Internal review using the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Easy Checks protocol, automated tooling (WAVE, axe DevTools, Lighthouse), and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing.
- User feedback. Ongoing feedback from credential holders, fleet operators, and employers through the feedback channel described below.
A formal third-party accessibility audit by a qualified Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) evaluator is planned for Q4 2026, in advance of the chrttechnician.com public registry general availability.
